IMI STI linear actuators ensure smooth and precise valve operation without any maintenance for the whole operating life.

      • Positioner

A positioner is used on an actuator (hydraulic or pneumatic) to provide feedback to the controller in response to the required and actual movement of the valve stem. This ensures the valve responds to system requirements. IMI STI positioners such as FasTrak is a high-capacity, high-precision digital-pneumatic valve controller that replaces a conventional positioner with excellent dynamic performance and high flow, it is compatible with double and single acting actuators, with or without a spring, a piston or a diaphragm.

    • Attemperator

Ensuring power plants operate economically with daily cycling or reduced loads requires reliable superheat and reheat stages to optimise the heat recovery steam generators – and ensure the steam is near saturation. Too hot may damage equipment and too cold will result in excess water leading to loss of control and piping damage downstream. IMI Critical products reduce such failures and outages.

    • Boiler Level Control

The task of any steam boiler is to provide the correct amount of high quality steam: safely; efficiently; and at the correct pressure. A certain area of water surface is required in a boiler from which to release the steam. Clearly, as steam is generated, the water in the boiler evaporates, and the boiler must receive a supply of water to maintain the level. This requires water to be maintained at the correct level. Safety is also of paramount importance. If the boiler operates with insufficient water, severe damage could occur and there is ultimately the risk of explosion.

    • Bypass Valves

Bypass valves are designed to divert steam from one part of the system (such as power generation or process steam such as paper and pulp production) to a reheat or exhaust piping to safeguard equipment from overpressure. Designed to cope with pressure and temperature differentials, they are used in many applications.

    • Choke

Our engineered chokes meet the challenges of higher well head pressures, aggressive fluids and entrained solids combined with velocity control. With specialist engineered trims we offer lifecycles unmatched for the most severe service.

    • Control

Control valves are designed to provide staged flow and pressure control through the movement of the plug (or disc) to provide a smooth regulated flow in the pipeline.
Available in several technologies, including DRAG®, BTG, technology acquired from Sulzer, ABJ as well as conventional designs for all your applications.

    • Control-Isolation
    • Desuperheating

Steam condition is critical to ensure steam is near saturation. If it is too hot, it will cause equipment damage and if it is too cold it will leave water in the pipework and valves which can lead to cracking and failure in power plants.

    • Globe

A globe valve is for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk (also called a plug) element and a stationary ring seat typically in a spherical body. The inlet and outlet of the body are separated by an internal baffle. This has an opening that forms a seat onto which the movable disk/plug can be screwed in to close (or shut) the valve.

    • HIPPS

HIPPS (also referred to as HIPS) systems are a series of components, specifically engineered to isolate the source of dangerous high pressure instead of relieving the excess flow, in the case of an overpressure event. HIPPS is an independent and reliable Safety Instrumented System that is designed with high integrity as per established ANSI/ISA and IEC standards, in order to equal or exceed the safety performance of conventional safety valves.

    • Turbine Bypass

With technologies from DRAG®, BTG, IMI Bopp & Reuther and technology acquired from Sulzer we provide industry-leading bypass valves. They come with lined or specialist materials to meet service requirements and seating/seal technologies to cover all customer requirements including cryogenic service.

    • Check

A check valve is a valve that normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction. A check valve can also be called a clack valve, non-return valve or one-way valve. Check valves have an inlet and an outlet and needs a pressure differential across the valve to crack or open the valve. If there is no pressure differential the valve will not open and prevents any backflow. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications.

    • Gate

A gate valve is a type of slide valve that uses a flat or curved disc perpendicular to the process flow. The disc slides into the flow stream to provide shut-off. The fluid pressure acting on the disc is sufficient to produce a satisfactory seal between metal-to-metal seatings.

    • Purging System

Our systems provide fully automated and continuous control of the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC) valve purging.
Parameters like mass and volumetric flow rate, upstream & downstream pressure and temperature will be continuously controlled under any process condition. Local and remote alarms will immediately report issues, including missing or excessive flow and saturated steam conditions. This will enable pre-emptive maintenance and prevent unrecoverable damage on valve components from occurring.

    • Shut Off Valve

A shut down valve (also referred to as SDV or Emergency shutdown valve, ESV, ESD, or ESDV) is an actuated valve designed to stop the flow of a hazardous fluid or external hydrocarbons (gases) upon the detection of a dangerous event. This provides protection against possible harm to people, equipment or the environment.
Shutdown valves are primarily associated with the petroleum industry, although other industries may also require this type of protection system. ESD valves are required by law on any equipment placed on an offshore drilling rig to prevent catastrophic explosion.
